சரங்களைத் துரந்து வில் வளைத்து, இலங்கை மன்னவன்
சிரங்கள் பத்து அறுத்து உதிர்த்த செல்வர் மன்னு பொன்-இடம்,
பரந்துபொன் நிரந்து நுந்தி வந்து அலைக்கும் வார் புனல்
அரங்கம் என்பர் நான்முகத்து அயன்பணிந்த கோயிலே.
English Translation
The wealthy Lord so dear to us, through rain of arrows from the bow. He cut the heads of Ravana the king of Lanka demon-haunt. He resides amid the steam thet lashes woves of gold in heaps, in brahma-worshipped temple of the famous town of Rangam-oor.
